Georgetown CERSI Research Day

The Georgetown University CERSI Research Day at FDA provided an opportunity for scientists from both institutions to discuss challenges or opportunities in current research, exchange ideas, and possibly identify new research collaborations between Georgetown and FDA in regulatory science. Researchers gave brief presentations on relevant research or training and education activities, followed by discussion periods.

FDA Medical Countermeasures Initiative
FDA’s Medical Countermeasures Initiative sponsored a Regulatory Science Symposium to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas for medical countermeasure development; highlight work on regulatory science as it applies to the development and advancement of medical countermeasures; facilitate innovative directions; and inform stakeholders on medical countermeasure-related scientific progress and accomplishments. The two-day symposium was open to the public and included several scientific presentations as well as a poster session.

The first annual Georgetown Informatics Symposium introduced and showcased several exciting applications in the field of biomedical informatics to the Georgetown University community. This free, one-day event included a variety of talks by leaders in the field of clinical and translational sciences who highlighted the applications of informatics tools and resources that can help to advance research from bench to bedside.
