Georgetown CERSI Research Day
The Georgetown University CERSI Research Day at FDA provided an opportunity for scientists from both institutions to discuss challenges or opportunities in current research, exchange ideas, and possibly identify new research collaborations between Georgetown and FDA in regulatory science. Researchers gave brief presentations on relevant research or training and education activities, followed by discussion periods.

University of Maryland CERSI Workshop: Degree Programs in Regulatory Science and Engineering
The goals of this conference were a) to exchange information about on-going educational programs in regulatory science and engineering, and b) to gain input from the entire scientific and engineering community about gaps that such programs should address.

FDA Medical Countermeasures Initiative
FDA’s Medical Countermeasures Initiative sponsored a Regulatory Science Symposium to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas for medical countermeasure development; highlight work on regulatory science as it applies to the development and advancement of medical countermeasures; facilitate innovative directions; and inform stakeholders on medical countermeasure-related scientific progress and accomplishments. The two-day symposium was open to the public and included several scientific presentations as well as a poster session.
